Midways on tour
The Midways tour continues this Friday 8th June in Bedford with Jim Bob from Carter and SMASH, followed by a string of dates from now until September. See the tour page for other dates. They are fucking amazing live so it's worth giving it a look!
Album release is almost here
We are all very excited about the release of the new album. Simply put, it's one of the best records they have ever made. Great tunes and some great noise!

Filthy Hate
The split single with Filthy Hate has an imminent release in Japan. We'll let you know the exact date soon... Also there will be UK tour dates in spring to coincide with the release of the new album see the gigs page and Facebook for updates

Split Single With Filthy Hate
The split single with Filthy Hate will be released in February or March 2012 if all goes well. It is being released on the BREAK THE CONNECTION label in Tokyo by Kei, a good friend of the Midways in Japan, NOE-001/7 inch ep. The tracks are “ Don’t Wanna Feel Anymore” and a cover of Filthy Hate’s “Various Cultures”, Filthy Hate are covering "What You Said"! We asked Kei how the collaboration came about, he said “Yukihiro from Filthy Hate went to every Midway’s gig in Tokyo and they played with them on their last gig in Japan. He loved Midway so I offered to him to release a split EP.” Kei has described Filthy Hate as “stench crust” so we are intrigued to hear how they sound!
New Album News
The Midways new album is almost complete though there is clearly some tinkering still going on. Paul said “Nearly done with the album, just trying to make it sound as good as possible, which involves spending a week thinking I’m getting it dead right then listening to it in the car and realising it sounded better last week!”
It’s fair to say we are pretty excited to hear it and will upload a track when we can. There is no album title yet but the track listing is:

The group (minus Roger who is rumoured to be in "rehab"), switched on the Christmas lights in Oxforb Street last night in matching red and black outfits. Shorts and platform ankle boots were a popular choice amongst the popstars, and they did their best to make one thing clear; they might be without a band member, but they can still rock colour coordination. As for Paul's maternity style - the fringed skirt won't be making it into our best dressed dad-to-be list.

October 2011
30th October 2011 - Paul Thomson, guitar and vocals has dropped us a line on the new album to say "Most of the backing tracks are done on the album. Just need to sing some words. It's going to be ace." Russell Lee, bass and vocals, has kindly taken some pictures for the site and you can see them here! We'll keep you posted as it develops!
18th October 2011 - The band are currently rehearsing songs for the new album; recording starts on Saturday 12th October 2011. Paul Thomson, guitar and vocals, said "We start recording on Saturday. I want to try and get it done fairly quickly.", succinct and to the point!
New recording in December
There is a split single going out on a Midway Still friend's label in Japan in December which features a Midway Still cover of a Filthy Hate song and a new Midway Still song and, obviously, a Filthy Hate cover of a Midway's song and a Filthy Hate original.
